He is the Board Member in charge of umpires for the House League season. January 20th,Dear prospective NGSA Umpires, We will be having our umpires clinic at the Village Green Center at 1810 Walters from 4:30-6:30 on Sunday, March 11th. The Northbrook Girls Softball Association is a high quality fastpitch softball program for girls of all abilities. We hope to have the best umpires hired to help run a smooth game which helps further our goals of promoting good sportsmanship and citizenship through an enjoyable sporting experience for the girls. Here are the steps needed to be an umpire:
The agenda for our clinic will be the following **Discuss and describe the NGSA league and different levels (Ponytail, Minors, Majors) Our most qualified umpires will work Majors and our least experienced will gain experience as base umpires at Ponytail. **Discuss the expectations and guidelines to being an NGSA umpire **Discuss the conflict sheet which will be handed out to each umpire. Each prospective umpire is to take the sheet home and completely fill out the conflict sheet and return to Keith MacDonald. **Our first practice game will be in early April, opening day in mid April and the World Series the first week in June. **Hand out and discuss the softball rulebook **Sign up for the text messaging system **Hand out the umpire exam
See you at the clinic,
